Tameside Free Congregational Church

Welcome

(The website was last updated 14th April 2021)

We welcome you in the name of Jehovah our triune God, glad, that by providence you have arrived at the church website where we hope, having begun, you will go on to learn more of Him who loves his own, who has sent his only begotten Son to save us from sin and the Holy Spirit to teach us how to live the life he has given.
We are Bible-believing Christians who by the Grace of God now strive to live the new life that he, as Creator of all good things, has given to us by way of a new heart for the ways of God.  It is the life to be lived by Faith and the Spirit in Truth in Holiness and in Love and in full accord with the Will of God as revealed to us in the Holy Bible.
We believe the new life liberates both body and soul and is vital preparation for living for both time and eternity.
This is the new life that is revealed only in the good news of the Gospel; it is ~
by Grace alone, through Faith alone, in Christ alone, according to Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone.
The Lord Jesus Christ told his disciples to go and teach all nations.  Seeking to do as the Lord says, sharing this good news and all that it means with those that will listen, is central to our lives as Bible-believing Christians.
If you would like to know more or to join us in knowing the Lord Jesus Christ and the Will of God for your life we will be glad to meet you.
Sabbath services ~ consist of sung praise, public prayer and preaching from God’s Word the Holy Bible with an explanation of its relevance for all our lives.
